What this site collects, what it never collects, and what happens to it — in plain English.

HighTempToday.com ("we," "the site") is a live US temperature dashboard and trading journal covering Kalshi daily-high temperature markets. This page explains what information the site does and doesn't collect.
We don't have user accounts. We don't sell data. We don't run ads. The site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic, and if you email us, we have the email you sent. That's essentially the whole story — the details are below.
Analytics data (Google Analytics). The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to see how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they're located (city/state level, derived from IP address), and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visitors apart. This data is aggregated — we see traffic patterns, not a feed of what any individual person did.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify automatically records basic request information — IP address, time of visit, pages requested, and browser type — for security and operations. We don't build profiles from these logs.
Email you send us. The site has no forms and no mailing-list signup that stores your address. The "Notify Me" buttons simply open your own email app with a message addressed to us. If you write to us, your email and whatever you put in it sit in our inbox so we can reply. Ask us to delete the thread and we will.
Nothing else. The site does not ask for or collect your name, password, payment details, precise location, or any account credentials. The dashboard shows a fixed list of cities — it never asks where you are. The daily card tool runs entirely in your browser; the images and captions it generates are created on your device and nothing about them is sent to us.
The only cookies in play are Google Analytics cookies, used to measure visits. We do not use advertising cookies, and no ad network tracks you through this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site works fine without them. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out add-on if you prefer.
One link on this site is an affiliate link: the KalshiSpy link carries a referral code, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through it — at no extra cost to you. That relationship doesn't change what data this site collects.
Digital products on the site (such as the Kalshi Agent Playbook) are not yet sold through an on-site checkout. When purchases open, they'll be processed by a third-party payment provider — your card details would go to them, under their privacy policy, and would never be seen or stored by this site.
This site covers prediction markets, which are products for adults (18+). The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
If what the site collects ever changes materially — for example, a real email signup or a checkout — we'll update this page and change the date at the top before (or as) the change takes effect.
